Heavy Equipment Operator (Water)

CITY OF TAYLORSVILLE

The City of Taylorsville is accepting applications for the full-time position of Heavy Equipment Operator (Water).

The successful applicant shall be exceptionally knowledgeable of heavy equipment operations and understand the mechanics and methods of operation.

The preferable candidate would have one year of hands-on experience and 2 years of hands-on experience of water & wastewater operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.

-Experience in semi-skilled and skilled labor in construction, including experience in light to heavy equipment operations.

-Must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license, CDL-A

-Must pass a background check and drug screening

-Must be willing to work flexible hours and perform on-call duties as required

-Ability to obtain (and maintain) a Class II Distribution Certification within 2 years of employment

Standard scheduled hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM.  Additional on-call duties are required.

Starting Salary based upon qualifications

Full-time benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance options; Paid Holidays, Sick and Vacation Leave; and participation in CERS non-hazardous state retirement.
